CAMBRIA, CAYUCOS, MORRO BAY...CALIFORNIA BEACH CITIES

On Saturday morning, May 4th, my husband and I left our house leisurely from central California around 8:30 A.M. to drive to the coast to go antique and collectible shopping at three different towns on the central coast and also to attend a three-day event car show (which we were only there half a day). Here are photos from our one-day road trip.

OUR FIRST STOP WAS CAMBRIA...A GEM OF A CITY WITH GIFT SHOPS, ANTIQUE STORES, AND LOVELY RESTAURANTS.

OUR SECOND STOP WAS CAYUCOS WHERE WE ATE LUNCH AT ONE OF THE CAFE'S THAT OVERLOOKS THE OCEAN.

AND THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE INSIDE...HMMMM???  JUST KIDDING!!! THIS IS A PHOTO OF THE KITCHEN IN THE WEASLEY'S KITCHEN AND DINING AREA FROM THE HARRY POTTER MOVIES!!! HA!
AND DOWNTOWN MORRO BAY AT A WITCHES FESTIVAL...NO?  OOPS!  MORE HARRY POTTER SCENES FROM DIAGON ALLEY...WELL...I AM...AFTER ALL A HUGE HARRY POTTER FAN!!!

I love this part of California which I never saw enough of prior to moving to Europe. I think these little towns dotted along the coast have so much magic. (Love your Potter inclusions, hee hee) And your vintage shops have many many more treasures than we do. My favourites is in Pacerville, called Gothic Rose. Visit if you ever go that way. Minerva x

Thank you, dear Teresa...your words are always so encouraging and heartfelt!
And you are working on a novel? That is so fantastic! It has always been a dream of mine...I don't know if I have the chops for it though...
I hope the dream comes true for you, dear friend!
Enjoy the day! :)
Big hugs from me,
- Irina

What a charming city to visit and to shop. I have only been to California once but unfortunately was for only a few days. Not nearly enough time to look around.

Thank you for sharing.

OH I MISS THESE TOWNS! Teresa my dear, GOOD MORNING! I was supposed to go to Carmel this year for my 31st wedding anniversary, but we were unable to go. It is our honeymoon spot and this entire coastline is one of my favorites in the country. Gorgeous beauty!

Thank you my friend for coming to visit! Yes, this will be a party to remember because YOUR enthusiasm, all of YOU, are going to make it a joy. I plan on being home ALL DAY Friday so I can hit every single post. Thank you for participating and I did change the spelling of Whimsy! Yes, there are some words in the English language that are flexible and whose various spellings are acceptable!

Wishing you peace, health and happiness as the days of summer roll in. Let the party begin this Friday! Oh, and I have your name in for the draw of the book! It is beautiful and Vicki is a lovely person. Anita
