A PHOTO OF ONE OF THE FOUR ADORABLE CAT PLACE MATS FROM ENGLAND MY HUSBAND FOUND AT A STORE IN TOWN CALLED 'THE PARIS FLEA MARKET' |
We went to the city of Turlock, California this past Sunday for a car swap meet and flea market. There are always goodies, collectibles, to hunt for...treasures among the thousands of vintage auto parts and vintage cars for sale. People come from all over the world for this event, even New Zealand and Australia. We must have walked for five hours slowly looking for treasures. It is a huge yearly event. We also went shopping in the town to a few antique stores where I found some lovely treasures.
I FOUND THIS SWEET WIRE BIRDCAGE IN ONE OF THE ANTIQUE STORES. THE ENTIRE TOP PART OF THE ROOF HINGES TO OPEN. |
MORE SWEET FINDS...SOME ROUND WOODEN BEADS IN LOVELY SIZES TO BE USED AS ARM AND LEG JOININGS FOR HANDMADE PAPER CLAY DOLLS. ALSO SOME TINY WOODEN ALPHABET GOODIES FOR MIXED MEDIA COLLAGES. |
Ta! Ta! For now!
Please keep watching my blog for my participation in the 'OUR WORLD OUR ART' event coming IN THE SPRING. Lisa has postponed the 'Our World Our Art' event until the spring. It is a huge undertaking for her to put this event together. Please go to her blog for more updated information. Just click the blue hand on my right side bar announcing the event. It will take you straight to Lisa Swifka's 'A Whimsical Bohemian' blog.

I love salad for breakfast and LOVE beets in my salad! I had two oranges for breakfast, and made a green juice for lunch. I try to eat raw as much as possible. Love tea!~ also love your laces! ♥
So now I'll be able to participate in OWOA! As soon as I shake this bug I'll start packing for our move. I intend to get myself in better shape this year also Teresa. Love your menu!Hugs, Jan
Oh, you found some lovely things! Pink lace, how nice!
We have caramelised bananas on toast for breakfast. Does that count as salad? With coffee, but I have to have tea to wake me up enough to make the coffee.
Thank you for the update on OWOA.
