YAY! FINALLY! SOME WINNERS FOR MY GIVEAWAY!

IT IS WITH FUN CELEBRATION THAT I CONGRATULATE THE TWO PEOPLE WHO GUESSED CORRECTLY IN MY GIVEAWAY!

The winners are: Dogs Mom blogspot, and M Ann M Creations. They guessed an IRON, which correctly identified the shiny object which is the reflection I photographed.  I WILL BE SENDING YOU YOUR OWN FLOWER BROOCH IN ABOUT TWO WEEK'S TIME.

THIS IS THE REFECTION OF THE OBJECT WHICH I WAS ASKING FOR PEOPLE TO CORRECTLY GUESS.
I gave clues in a few posts.  The very last clue was the best clue I could give, as it was a shrine which another blogger had made for her uncle, and the shrine, itself, was basically the exact shape of the reflected object, an IRON.  One of my clues, was that fairies were repelled by this element and did not like what this vintage object used to be made from and that is????......Ta! Da! AN IRON! Fairies do not like anything made from iron.  This was a subtle hint.  I enjoyed the guesses which people made too! They were very creative. From a mirror, to keys, to a bowl of water, and a belt buckle.

VINTAGE IRONS USED TO BE MADE FROM, WELL...IRON!  SO FAIRIES DID NOT LIKE THEM!
SEVERAL WEEKS AGO, MY ROWENTA IRON WAS STANDING ON MY LAUNDRY ROOM COUNTER TOP AND THE WESTERN, SETTING, SUN WAS HITTING THE SHINY BOTTOM SIDE AND THE REFLECTION WHICH I TOOK CREATED A VERY ETHEREAL PHOTO.
I HAD NO IDEA THAT SUCH A SPLENDID REFLECTION COULD COME FROM A LOWLY IRON.  THE REFLECTION DID RESEMBLE A SHRINE WITH AN ANGEL AROUND IT.
THANK YOU ONE AND ALL, AGAIN, FOR PARTICIPATING IN MY GIVEAWAY.  IT WAS LOTS OF FUN WITH CHALLENGING EXCITEMENT.

That was fun! Congratulations to the two clever winners! I knew they didn't like iron, but I kept thinking it had to be an object that could make a reflection. It never dawned on me that an "iron" could make a reflection so I only came up with wrong ideas. :) That was a great play on the word too! xoxo Su

Thanks for a fun time and a very enjoyable visit. you did give my mind a workout.

Did you know that irons are used so very little in households today, well at least non sewing households, that I can pick and choose from slightly used (if at all) irons off thrift store and church sale shelves for only a couple of dollars? The old heavy iron flat irons continue to rise in value but more as decorative doorstops. So remember if you are choosing a wedding gift, the toaster will be better appreciated than an iron by modern couples, and it seems fairies.

Good morning TERESA! I just saw the sweetest collection last week at an antique store of tiny iron irons! I almost brought one home. You know, I DON'T IRON! My mum was a loyal housekeeper and had an interesting routine to her ironing (and my husband recalls his mother had the same routine). But this workin' girl has NO time (or rather, interest) in doing the deed! HAHAHAHAHHHAHAHA

Sweet friend, thank you kindly for coming to visit my post. So many lovely things happen in our minds and hearts when we truly want to find a way to express ourselves. God is good and reminds me to live, love, and to write and share and just BE.

Thank you for being there. May God richly bless you and your summer plans! Anita
