SUMMER IS FLYING BY!

I know just about everyone has been hot and bothered with extreme heat in most of the country;  Strange weather and strange storms causing major power outages and terrible fires in seven mid-western states.  My heart goes out to those who have lost their homes, and also to those who were unable to go to work as no computers work if there is no power.   At least the gasoline prices have come down, for a while, at least.

On to more cheerful doings.  I am preparing for Vanessa Valencia's yearly Mad Tea Party.  What to do! What to do!  It is always such a fantastic event going to the various blogs who are participating in the tea party.  Here are some copy-right free Alice themed artwork for your enjoyment!  Until July 28th, do have a wonderful summer!

Alice and Wonderland dolls in a museum.
The Mad Hatter himself!!!
An incredible polymer clay Cat sculpture by an artist named John Anderson which is in my collection of dolls and creatures.  It does look like a Cheshire Cat!
Another view of this amazing cat sculpture.
I do believe this is Arthur Rackham's Alice.
The Cheshire Cat
From Tim Burton's version of Alice
A lovely Steam Punk version of the White Rabbit
I guess that just about wraps up these quirky photos in hopes that you will also participate in the Mad Tea Party on July 28th.  See you soon!

Oh loveliness! I am so very excited for the Mad Tea Party too! What beautiful photographs you've found. I agree, your kitty looks like Mr. Cheshire. I LOVE Tim Burton's adaptation of Alice. Lovely :)

I haven't heard about the Tea Party. I must checked it out. I have to make an Alice themed doll for a challenge. Still haven't decided what to do as yet. Love your cat figure...really different:)

GOOD MORNING MY FRIEND!

YOU ARE NOT KIDDING; this summer is going by way too fast but we embarked on several home projects that have called for our attention daily. We are almost done with the painting of my studio and having the builders finish our deck.

I so wish I could participate in the tea party, but I actually will be away from blogging next week to entertain a guest.

BE WELL AND STAY COOL! Anita

Thank you for including the Arthur Rackham Alice. I love his pictures and Alice's dress.
And your cat, how perfect for a cheshire cat!

You wouldn't know who the Alice dolls in the museum are by, would you? They're a real find, as is the Steampunk White Rabbit on a penny-farthing bike. Bunnies, Alice, and steampunk. That's an image I simply must have!

We are pretty much sweltering here. Did your sister arrive at your place?

I love Vanessa's art and blog...I am intrigued by the party, but this year I will just be visiting the participants, looks like great fun!

Oh! And I just popped in to say I used some of your lovely red tulle on my latest doll, a saloon gal,(who's wearing wearing ribbon and tulle and not much else. The red and cream striped cotton would be lovely for an 18th century sack dress for one of my smaller dolls. Thank you, again, for all the treasures you sent.

Yes, summer is flying. The dry weather has leaves falling early here and some blogs already have autumnal features. I really love Aurumn, but not yet, I say. Times flies fast enough.
