I am sharing photos of Paris from a dear friend of mine who lived in France.  She was English and lived there in a small village, which I will also post those photos after the Paris photos.  She was a dear, but suddenly passed away at 57 years old in her sweet village in August of last year.  I miss her greatly! One of those kindred soul art spirits you find in the art making blogs.  So...Without further ado here are the photos and as I am not familiar with the names of places, I am sure many of you will know what they are, famous because they are in Paris! The most beautiful city in the World!!!  Enjoy!

BRENDA FIGUEROA'S LaFioreVida Doll Ning Group Online Doll Retreat Workshop (for a fee) AND Art Journaling Experience free group!

I have been having fun in a fairly new Doll Making and Art Journaling Ning Site.  Brenda Figueroa's creativity abounds in her Doll Making Retreat Online Workshop which is part of her Doll Ning Site: LaFiore Vida.  I have been making dolls since the fall of 2008, and I recently came across Brenda's blog which tells all about her journey of creativity.  I was so inspired,  I became a member of her online doll making/art journaling ning group (see her doll making/art journaling ning site link on my left side bar; and also her blog link on my left side bar). Once inside her ning site (which is free) I became a member. At the top right of the ning site it will say: Join and you click on that.  You will receive an email from Brenda with the link to her Doll Ning Site stating that you are a member, and you can use the link in the email to go directly to the Doll Ning site. If you choose to join the site MAKE A COPY OF THE EMAIL AND FILE IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. On the Main Page of the Doll Ning Site are other classes to join on the top bar. It should say 'classes' or something to that affect which if you click on it will take you to what is available to join. Some are free like her Art Journaling Experience if that is something you would like to do.   Brenda highlights about 7 dolls which she shows how to make in many, many videos.  She is patience at her best.  Her videos are fun and relaxing to view. On the Main Page is a free video to view where she  introduces her doll workshop, she shows many dolls she has made, including the 7 dolls which she will show you how to make in her videos.  She is a sweetheart of a person and the joy she shares with others while she is showing off her dollies is very contagious.  She makes most of her dolls with polymer clay (Super Sculpey, white) but she says that her dolls can be adapted to be made with paper clay or even papier mache. In the actual Doll Making Retreat Workshop, Brenda also shows her ideas for dressing the dolls.  I have viewed about four videos to date, and each one is about 20 minutes long.  For each doll there are about four or five videos to view showing how to make her dolls from start to finish.  So there has to be about 30 videos to view, all told.  There is also a free class: Art Journaling Experience that you can join on the LaFioreVida Doll ning group.  Come join in on the fun!
This is an exceptional value for the reasonable fee that she charges for her Doll Making Online Retreat Workshop.  If you are into making dolls, here is a great chance to learn some sweet doll making techniques.  Just exploring her blog is a treat! She also has lovely ideas for journaling and painting.  Please enjoy viewing her blog and join her doll ning site too!
