SETH APTER'S BOOK: 'THE PULSE OF MIXED MEDIA'

My socks were blown off when I was told by Trudi at 'Two Dresses Studio' blog that I had won her giveaway for Seth Apter's 'The Pulse of Mixed Media'. (Please see my sidebar for the link to 'The Altered Page' Seth's blog.)  I can't say enough about Seth Apter as far as being the kind of mixed media artist who supports so many kindred spirit artists.  He just got back from a tour around the U.S. and Canada for a book signing of 'The Pulse..' and meeting many of the mixed media artists whose heart-felt and inspiring comments were included in Seth's book.  What a talented array of artists to inspire us all!!!  Please purchase his book online at Amazon.com or your favorite book store. OH!!! And please be sure to visit 'Two Dresses Studio' as she has some of the most amazing prints of her collages in her Etsy shop.  Her link is on my sidebar.
ENJOY!!!

Hello Teresa...just popping back in. Yes there is shadow under the stitching...it was done by coloured pencils after tracing and looks quite effective. At this stage we are going to go with the timber for the kitchen but I too do love the black and white. As for Pirates of Penzance I've never seen it either and I'm finding it hard to get a copy of it to watch. I did order one from America but it wouldn't fit the DVD here and I had to send it back! Have a great Friday...Dzintra xo

Teresa congratulations on winning the giveaway! I must go check this book out now that you speak so highly of it! I am going to confess something now. I don't own a single art book. Nor have I ever taken a single art class. I want to I want to! Everything looks so wonderful and enriching!

Congratulations!! Thank you for stopping by and your comment about the cottages of Oak Bluffs. How nice that your sister lives in Massachusetts - I hope you get to visit Martha's Vineyard. I'd love to go there one day! I'm going to check out the book now!

Looks like an exciting book...I need to summon up courage for more mixed media projects, I am such a perfectionist. But it looks like much fun, and I will definitely check on the book...great inspiration!
Thank you, sweet friend, for coming by...always wonderful to "see" you :)
