Over the past three and a half years I have come to appreciate Stampington Publications. As I am a doll maker my favorite magazine of theirs is Art Doll Quarterly. I also enjoy PRIMS which is dedicated to dolls which are more vintage looking. The one-of-a-kind dolls in both publications are all handmade by wondrously talented doll makers. I also like Sew Somerset, as I am becoming interested in fabric journals of which there are quite a few beautiful examples shown by extraordinarily gifted artists. To view all of the publications Stampington.com has to offer go to their website and click on 'Publications' on their top menu bar. You will be amazed at the variety of craft publications they have to offer.
You can purchase these lovely magazines from Stampington.com or sometimes issues will be sold out and you can purchase them in Etsy.com under the category: Supplies. Then you click on 'commercial' and in the search bar type in 'magazines' or 'stampington' or even the name of the publication you are searching for. There is always someone in Etsy who is trying to sell current or back issues of many Stampington publications. But they go VERY FAST once they are listed. E-bay may possibly have some for sale too. I haven't tried that venue. But let me warn you....IT IS VERY ADDICTING once you start collecting their amazing array of various publications they have to offer. You can also find some Stampington publications at Jo-Ann Fabrics, and Michaels or possibly Barnes and Noble. I used to buy mine at Borders so I miss that convenience so much!
Have a very lovely weekend~

OH! I quite forgot. If you are a doll maker or an artist you can submit your creations to any of the Stampington Publications. Just go to Stampington.com and look under the category of 'submissions' or 'challenges' for whatever particular type of artwork you will be submitting. All of the submitting rules are given on the Stampington site. Or, if you purchase one of their magazines there is usually 'challenge' information toward the back of the magazine telling you how to submit your work. They are looking for exceptionally made one-of-a-kind artwork of all types of art mediums so you can't loose! Sometimes there are designated 'challenges' with a particular themed doll, for instance, like a circus theme, or ballerina theme, or jar dolls which happens to be one of the challenges showcased in the latest Art Doll Quarterly. But their other publications accept handmade journals, stamped projects, clothing, etc. Stampington has a wide variety of publications to look to for ideas on various mixed media techniques. Come join the fun!
